The 47th ISOBM Conference will take place in the charming town of Murnau am Staffelsee. Below, you’ll find everything you need to plan your trip, including transportation options, accommodation recommendations, and links to discover Murnau and the surrounding area.

Conference Venue: Culture and Convention Center Murnau

Key Features:

• Barrier-free access to all event spaces via a wheelchair ramp and an elevator (76 cm door width).
• Accessible restroom with a door width of 85 cm.
• State-of-the-art event technology in three halls and three seminar rooms
• A total event space of 1,248 sqm, including spacious foyers, an adjacent cultural park, and a music pavilion.

How to get there?

🚆 By Train

• Murnau is well-connected via Deutsche Bahn (DB).
• Direct regional trains run from Munich Central Station (München Hbf) to Murnau (approx. 50 min).
• The Murnau train station is just a short walk (approx. 10 minutes).
• Train schedules can be found at: www.bahn.de

✈️ By Air

• The nearest major airport is Munich International Airport (MUC).
• From the airport:
  • By train: Take the S-Bahn (S1 or S8) to Munich Central Station, then a direct train to Murnau (total approx. 2 hours).
  • By taxi: Approx. 1 hour 30 minutes drive.
  • By rental car: Take A95 highway towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen, exit Murnau/Kochel.

🚗 By Car

• From Munich: Approx. 60 minutes via A95 highway.
• Parking is available near the conference venue.
